The District reserves picnic areas for Blackstone, Kalithea, Lake Forest, Promontory, and Valley View Sports Parks daily (Monday-Sunday), 10am-6pm. All Park Picnic Reservations are made online. The District reserves park picnic areas up to twelve (12) months in advance. We recommend that you claim your reserved picnic site by 10am on the date of your event.

Lake Forest Park features a covered picnic area, 6 picnic tables, 4 charcoal BBQs, children's play structure, exercise circuit, sand volleyball court, tennis courts, bocce ball, walking trails, and restrooms. Promontory Community Park offers a wide range of features including two covered children's playgrounds, sports fields, lighted tennis courts, bocce ball, horse shoe pit and covered picnic area with a large BBQ, restrooms, and a very popular water spray ground. The water spray ground is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend from 10am-8pm. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. We take reservations for the covered picnic area with 10 picnic tables and 3 charcoal BBQs. It is recommended that you claim your reserved picnic site by 10am on the date of your event.
The spray grounds at Promontory Community Park are not included in your picnic rental. The rental is for the covered picnic shelter area only. We do not guarantee that the spray grounds will be up and running during your event. In the event the spray grounds are off during your event, please be aware that your picnic area rental fees will not be refunded.

Bertelsen Park is one of our largest and oldest village parks. The park is named in honor of Lieutenant Peter L. Bertelsen, of the El Dorado Hills Fire Department, who lost his life in the line of duty on September 16, 1965. The park is open from sunrise to sunset.
Did You Know?Bass Lake was formerly known as American Reservoir and was an important part of the Gold Rush era flume/ditch systems in El Dorado County.
