The District reserves picnic areas for Promontory, Lake Forest, Bertelsen, Kalithea, and Valley View Sports Parks daily (Monday-Sunday), 10am-6pm.  Reservations can be made online.  The District reserves park picnic areas up to 12 months in advance.  We recommend that you claim your reserved picnic site by 10am on the date of your event.

Promontory Community Park

Promontory Community Park offers a wide range of features including two covered children's playgrounds, sports fields, lighted tennis courts, bocce ball, horse shoe pit and covered picnic area with a large BBQ, restrooms, and a very popular water spray ground. The water spray ground is open Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend from 10am-8pm. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. We take reservations for our covered picnic area with 10 picnic tables and 3 charcoal BBQs.
The spray grounds at Promontory Community Park are not included in your picnic rental. The rental is for the covered picnic shelter area only.  We do not guarantee that the spray grounds will be up and running during your event. In the event the spray grounds are off during your event, please be aware that your picnic area rental fees will not be refunded.

Peter Bertelsen Memorial Park - CLOSED
Unfortunately as of 5/6/2021 this park is not available for rental for the foreseeable future.

Bertelsen Park is one of our largest and oldest village parks. The full featured park offers something for young and old alike. The park is named in honor of Lieutenant Peter L. Bertelsen, of the El Dorado Hills Fire Department, who lost his life in the line of duty on September 16, 1965. The park features a covered picnic pavilion, 3 picnic tables, 4 charcoal BBQs, a water spray playground, children's play structure, horse shoe pit, restrooms and a lighted baseball field. The water spray ground is open Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend from 10am-8pm.  The park is open from sunrise to sunset. We take reservations for our covered picnic pavilion.

Food Trucks & District Facility Rentals/Park Picnic Area Rentals
Food trucks are not allowed at Lake Forest Park.  
Requests for food truck usage in coordination with a District Facility Rental Application or Park Rental Application require this supplemental application for each food truck. This application is effective only for the event date(s) and location reserved. The fee for each food truck will be $150.

The food truck vendor shall provide the following required documentation at least two (2)weeks prior to the event. Food truck vendors are expected to follow all rules and regulations set forth by El Dorado County and comply with all County Health Inspectors and their agents.

1. Business License
2. El Dorado County Health Permit
3. Food Safety Certification
4. Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 naming El Dorado Hills CSD as additional insured  

The District shall assign the food truck, in its sole discretion, a designated space within the requested facility area for the event. Food Truck vendors are required to provide their own connections and power. The vendor shall not affix any personal property to District premises without the District’s prior written consent. The space provided to the Food Truck must be left in the same condition at the end of the event as arrival. Vendors are expected to take their business’ trash with them at the end of the event.
Food Trucks may only sell food and non-alcoholic beverages.
