The District provides over 530 acres of parks and open space. With twenty-eight (28) parklets, neighborhood, village, and community parks (and more in development), the District is dedicated to providing premier parks and facilities to the residents of El Dorado Hills and the surrounding community. The District is committed to providing a level of service of five (5) park acres/1,000 residents and to provide Village Parks within a 1-mile distance and Neighborhood Parks within a 1/2 mile distance of residents.

The oak-covered hillsides, natural open spaces, and streams shape the area's unique landscape and are central to the high quality of life enjoyed by El Dorado Hills residents. The District is committed to preserving open spaces and natural resources. For more information about the Former Executive Golf Course, please click here.

El Dorado Hills Community Park
Our 40-acre Community Park is located in the heart of El Dorado Hills. Community Park features include three multi-use sports fields, an undeveloped portion of New York Creek Nature Area, fenced dog park, Skate Park, Community Access Building (CAB), picnic tables and barbecue at the north field, playgrounds, courtyard, competition pool and wading pool, Pavilion meeting/banquet facility,  and Teen Center.  The rooms located within the CAB are a Resident Services office, Recreation Staff offices, gymnasium, classroom, dance room, and commercial kitchen.

Promontory Community Park
This park offers the District's only synthetic multi-use field that is highly utilized by competitive and recreational focused user groups. The park's design was a collaborative effort between the District, residents, and local sports groups. The result is a park that features children's play areas, sport fields and courts, a picnic area, natural grass, and more! Today, Promontory Community Park serves many recreational needs for local residents. The water feature at Promontory Community Park is available to be used from Memorial Day - Labor Day 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
