Pitch, Hit & Run:
Saturday, April 27, 2-5pm, Promontory Park Softball Fields
Ages 7-14
El Dorado Hills Community Services District is inviting baseball and softball players of all skills and abilities to participate in the 4th Annual Pitch, Hit, and Run competition. The official skills competition of Major League Baseball will put young ball player’s fundamental skills to the test. This FREE event is open for anyone ages 7-14 to compete. Cinco De Mayo Party (Seniors)- Gilmore Senior Center
Come celebrate Cinco De Mayo at the Gilmore Senior Center. Enjoy decorations, snacks, refreshments, and entertainment. Space is limited so please sign-up in person at the Gilmore Senior Center to reserve your spot.

Community Clean-Up Day
Saturday, May 4, 8am-2pm
Hills Church: 800 White Rock Road, EDH
FREE for EDH Residents. 
Non-EDH Residents are charged $20.00 per load.
Accepting:
Gently used household items, sinks, furniture, sleeper sofas, green waste, fence material, barbecues (no propane cylinders), toys (remove all batteries), bikes, sports & exercise equipment.
NOT Accepting:
Appliances (of any kind), refrigerators, mattresses & box springs, commercial waste, construction debris: concrete, drywall, insulation, plywood, rocks, stucco, siding, pressure-treated wood, dead animals, air compressors, landscape equipment with gas or oil in it, motor oil, propane cylinders, tires, hazardous waste including paint, solvents, chemicals, batteries, herbicides, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and fluorescent bulbs. 

LLAD Community Discussion:

No pre-registration is required.
Do you want to learn more about Landscape and Lighting Assessment Districts (LLADs)? This informational meeting will be presented by District staff and the LLAD Community Advisory Committee. Learn about LLADs, meet volunteers and staff, engage in a Q&A session, and learn more about getting involved on the committee.

Power Line Bike Trails Community Clean-Up Day
Please join the District, in partnership with PG&E and SMUD, to help with vegetation management and clean up the site of the future Power Line Bike Trails! Volunteers are invited to come out and help us clean up the site to get it ready for construction of the trails.

Time: 9am-12pm
Location: The power line corridor off of EDH Blvd. Parking is available at the District's parking lot (1030 St. Andrew's Drive, EDH) with a short walk to the trail's location. No parking is allowed on EDH Blvd.

Youth Fishing Derby:

Saturday, May 18, 8-11:45am
Village Green Park Pond, 4655 Serrano Pkwy., EDH
Ages 3-15 and their helpers are welcome!
Kick off your Summer with a splash and get hooked on fishing in the fifth annual Youth Fishing Derby. The District, in partnership with the El Dorado County Fish and Game Commission and the Serrano Homeowners Association, invite kids ages 3 to 15 to test their angling skills at Village Green Park. Attempt to catch the longest fish in our fishing contest, learn about fishing and the outdoors, and have a chance to win raffle prizes. The pond will be freshly stocked with fish. Participants should bring their fishing equipment and lures or bait of their choice. No fishing license required. Due to popular demand, event space is limited. Participants must choose one of the two derby times, not both. Pre-registration is required. Event is FREE thanks to the generous sponsorship by State Farm Agent Nick Bertetta.

Sensory Friendly Swim*

While Recreation Swim is open to all participants, the experience itself can be overwhelming for individuals with sensory sensitivities, which many with special needs experience.  “Sensory Friendly Swim” is specifically designed for individuals with disabilities and their families. Enjoy the pool in a quieter environment with a lower capacity and no music, reducing the normal stimuli that may be overwhelming.

*Seeking Sponsors & Vendors for Community Pool’s “Sensory Friendly Swim” event: The El Dorado Hills Community Services District is seeking sponsors for our the new “Sensory Friendly Swim” event, designed specifically for individuals with disabilities and their family members.  The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 27 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Community Pool, after the traditional Recreation Swim. The current registration fee is $6/person; the support of a sponsor(s) would allow us to make this event free or low-cost to participants.  In addition, we invite vendors and community groups providing resources for persons with disabilities to attend this event by providing an information booth/giveaways on the pool deck during this event. If you are interested in sponsoring this event or becoming a vendor, please reach out to Recreation Supervisor, Brittney at: bteems@edhcsd.org.

TEENZ Center Kickoff Event
Come see what the TEENZ Center afterschool program is like with a great kick off party! If you are interested in the TEENZ Center and want to learn more, this is the perfect opportunity to check it out and get signed up. Snacks, drinks and activities will be provided. Pre-registration required.

National Night Out is back! El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office and El Dorado Hills Fire Department are partnering with the District to offer this spectacular, one-of-a-kind experience in August.
