On September 13, 2008, this park, formerly known as St. Andrews Park, was dedicated and renamed for William C. "Bill" McCabe. Bill was the District Manager for the El Dorado Hills CSD from 1972 until his retirement in 1983. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 74.

In the early days of the CSD, where resources were few, Bill McCabe worked hard to provide the current and future residents of El Dorado Hills with parks and services that have been enjoyed by so many.

Located at the intersection of El Dorado Hills Blvd. and Francisco Drive, this 1.3 acre site features a children's play structure, large turf area for informal activities and a picnic area under the majestic oaks.
