Deputy Jeff Mitchell Field is located next to William Brooks Elementary School and designated as a memorial field to all public service members who lost their lives in the line of duty. The entrance has three oversized baseballs representing the three public service agencies in the area: El Dorado Hills Fire Department, Sacramento County Sheriff Department and El Dorado County Sheriff Department.

Park History
The field was built in memory of Jeff Mitchell.  Jeff and his wife, Crystal, were residents of El Dorado Hills.  He was a Deputy for Sacramento County Sheriff Department.  He was an avid baseball fan, had a passion for kids baseball, and spent time teaching his son, Jake, the game.  He was also a coach for El Dorado Hills Little League South.  The movement for the memorial diamond came following his death while on duty in 2006.
