AQUATICS ACTIVITIES
TAZ SPRING SWIM CLINIC
Spring into action with the Taz Swim Team coaches! Join us for
the Spring Swim Clinic which will focus on stroke technique. The
clinic is perfect for swimmers looking to shake off the dust and
get a jumpstart on the summer swim team season! Please note:
The Taz clinic is not swim lessons – it is intended for kids who
can already swim, but wish to improve their technique. Please
sign up for the session that best meets your child's swimming
ability. Coaches may move swimmers to a different level if
necessary. Lessons will be held rain or shine. No make ups for
missed classes.

LEVEL 1 (ages 5-9)
Swimmers with little or no swim team experience and novice
in freestyle and backstroke. Must be able to swim 25 yards of
freestyle unassisted.

LEVEL 2 (ages 6-10)
Swimmers with limited swim team experience, proficient at
freestyle and backstroke, and novice at breaststroke and butterfly.

LEVEL 3 (ages 9-18)
Swimmers must be proficient at all four strokes (backstroke,
freestyle, breaststroke & butterfly). This level will focus on
advanced techniques and endurance of each stroke.

Lap Swim
A great full body workout! Pull buoys and kick boards are available for use. This program must have a minimum of 10 participants enrolled.

Lifeguard
Training Course (Blended Learning)
Ages 15+
Want to be a lifeguard this summer? Plan now and get signed up for
this certification class that most community pools require. American
Red Cross Instructors will certify you in Lifeguarding, CPR, AED, and
Title 22 First Aid. Includes lecture, videos and skill practice sessions in
and out of the water. This is an in-person class, with about 7 hours online work prior to first day of class.
Participants must complete and pass American Red Cross class in-water
pre-requisites before class begins (scheduled through Aquatics
Division). See website for pre-requisite video details.

Lifeguarding Instructor Course 
The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor
Course is to train instructors to teach the basic level American Red
Cross Lifeguarding courses.
Ages 17+
Prerequisites:
1. Be at least 17 years old on or before the final session of the course.
2. Possess a current basic certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED
3. Successfully complete the online introduction to the Lifeguarding
Instructor Course prior to the precourse skills session via the class
roster and online content completion.
Materials:
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructors manual
- Lifeguarding course presentation and/or DVD
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding manual
Must attend all dates!
