NEW! Halloween Costume Design Workshop

Create your own Halloween costume during this 2-day class and participate in the first ever Isabel Azam Halloween Costume parade during the CSD Trunk or Treat event on October 27th. This course requires pre-consultation with the instructor regarding each student's skill level, desired design and necessary materials. Instructor has a MFA in fashion design and is a skilled sewer. She will guide students on designing costumes they can make with respect to their technical experience. Beginners ok with approval. Space is limited to 8. Material fee $15 (does not include the cost of fabric).  Registration deadline 9/18.

Our kids need the real world skills and experience that can only be gained through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Each week, Early Engineers offers a new building challenge and using a variety of materials, such as Legos, explores a new otherwise not be covered until middle, or even high school and aims to familiarize students with these concepts now, so they are confident and willing to engage in the sciences throughout their life! HoneyCode - CritterBots & Pirate Programming

Students will build a project from LEGO WeDO 2.0 and attach a Bluetooth motor. Then, using block coding, they'll program their LEGO CritterBots to move, tilt, wobble, and shake! 11/6-1/29 students will set sails with Scratch Coding in creating an interactive treasure map helping them along  the way. At the end of both programs, they'll take home a USB with their Scratch projects, that can be continued at home (if you want to!) Both Courses will be the ultimate blend of robotics and coding. Class introduces the American theatrical dance forms of Tap and Jazz, which are distinguished by percussive footwork, the concept of parallel positioning for the feet and exaggerated isolated movements.

Beginning dancers are introduced to coordination, stretch exercises, rhythm and basic terminology through music, dance and dramatic exercises, all which improve self-awareness and build motivation.

Ballet is one of the world's most timeless and elegant dance arts, where placement of the body, poise and proper alignment are emphasized. This class utilizes appropriate classical terminology and includes barre work, adagio, petite allegro, grand allegro and turns.

Learn the appropriate classical terminology and include barre work, adagio, petite allegro, grand allegro and turns. Classes range in level depending on student's ability, and primarily follow the classical Cecchetti method of ballet training, through EDDA instructors are familiar with and will draw from R.A.D. (Royal Academy of Dance) and Vaganova techniques.
